Data & Privacy
This page explains how BoozeButler handles guest interaction data during brand pilots and activations. It is written for spirits brands and tasting-room operators — not a substitute for the full consumer Privacy Policy.
Guest interaction data we collect
When a visitor uses a BoozeButler guided discovery experience on your site (or a hosted pilot page), we may collect:
- In-experience events such as session starts, step progress, completions, and recommendation views
- Taste, serve, and preference selections made inside the flow
- Next-step actions when available (for example recipe open or “find this bottle”), as directional intent signals
- Technical metadata needed to operate the experience (for example browser/device class, timestamps, and session identifiers)
We do not ask guests for account credentials as part of a standard brand pilot widget.
Aggregate reporting for your team
Pilot dashboards and readouts are designed around aggregate patterns: participation, bottle consideration, taste/serve distributions, and next-step intent among completers. The goal is a directional read for your brand team — not a person-level dossier.
No individual guest tracking for brand reporting
- Brand-facing pilot reporting does not identify individual guests by name, email, or social profile
- We do not sell guest interaction data
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers inside the guided discovery experience
Session-level technical identifiers may be used to keep a single visit coherent (for example completing a multi-step flow). Those identifiers are operational, not a brand CRM identity graph.
Retention
- Pilot interaction aggregates and operational event logs are retained as needed to run the pilot, deliver the readout, and support the activation
- When a pilot ends, we retain summary reporting materials shared with your team and underlying operational logs according to our service needs and legal obligations
- Brand contacts who request a demo (name, email, company, message) are retained to respond to the inquiry and related sales follow-up
Questions about deletion or data access for brand accounts: boozebutler@halytic.ai.
Hosting
BoozeButler is operated by Halytic LLC. Application and data infrastructure is hosted with trusted cloud providers under industry-standard encryption in transit. Brand demo and marketing pages may be served via our web hosting partners; the guided discovery runtime and pilot APIs are served from our application hosts.
Age-gating
BoozeButler experiences for spirits discovery are intended for adults of legal drinking age (21+ in the United States). Pilot and demo surfaces include age-gating appropriate to the activation. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 21 for these experiences.
